Old Tavern Farm Hosts Saratoga PLAN’s Feast of the Field Fundraiser
On September 18th, Old Tavern Farm welcomed the local community to our farm for Saratoga PLAN’s annual celebration of farmland conservation. Guests indulged in a Tuscan inspired picnic, featuring local, farm-fresh produce, sipped on our wines and enjoyed music by Saratoga Race Course’s house band, Reggie’s Red Hot Feetwarmers. The night included a silent auction, featuring exciting experiences and eye-catching items from local artisans. All proceeds from the Feast of the Fields will be utilized to support Saratoga PLAN’s mission, of preserving the rural character, natural habitats and scenic beauty of Saratoga County so that these irreplaceable assets are accessible to all and survive for future generations.
To date Saratoga PLAN has conserved more than 2,900 acres of farmland on 25 farms. To learn more about their organization visit www.saratogaplan.org
